    It’s all about control and trust. Do you feel the need to control every decision or do you believe others can make good decisions? I think it would be a great metric to chart how many ideas are presented, how many implemented, how many not considered. Folks are more likely to present an idea when they think it has an opportunity to succeed.

    As a manager, we have the opportunity to champion ideas for others and help them to get their ideas to the table.
